The SIM Registration ACT requires every TM SIM user to register their SIM card. The Act was introduced to improve security and prevent digital crimes. The process of TM SIM Registration is simple and easy. You can register your SIM via the portal, GlobeOne app, or in-store.
Note: If your SIM was purchased before December 27, 2022, it is not possible to register it. Please purchase a new SIM card and register it.
TM SIM Registration Methods
There are three different methods for TM SIM registration. You can use any of the methods according to your ease.
- Register SIM TM Via Portal (Registration Link)
- Register TM SIM Via GlobeOne App
Below is the step-by-step tutorial to register the TM SIM card along with screenshots.
Note: The process of SIM registration for Filipino citizens, Minors, corporations, and foreigners is almost the same. However, the document requirements for each are different.
Register via the portal
Here is how to register a TM SIM card online using the portal.
- Click on the registration link given below. It will bring you to the TM official website.
You can also visit the TM SIM portal by using the QR code. Just scan the QR code given below and it will ring you to the official portal.
- Choose the language in which you are comfortable (English/Taglish) and click on the continue button to start registration.
- Enter your 10-digit TM SIM number and check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Now, click on the request pin to receive OTP. Remember, if you are using the wifi, click on the “click here” link to get OTP.
- You will receive an OTP on the provided number. You have only five minutes to enter the OTP. Enter your OTP before it expires. Request a new OTP if the previous one expires.
- Select the type of registration according to your preference.
- Upload a valid photo of a government-issued ID. Also, upload a clear selfie for confirmation purposes.
- Now you will get a registration form. Fill the form carefully with the required details according to official documents. The details include:
- Government-Issued ID
- Full name (legal)
- Date of Birth
- Gender/Sex
- Complete Address
- Nationality
- Upload a Current Selfie
- Once done, review the information carefully and ensure that all the details are accurate and up-to-date.
- Click on the submit button to submit the registration form and complete your registration.
Note: Always ensure that the registration link you’re using is legit. The legit registration link starts with ‘HTTPS’ and leads to the official portal. Never use the links from third-party sources.
Register Via GlobeOne App
The process of registration via the portal and the GlobeOne app is almost the same. Here is the step-by-step guide to register the TM SIM card using the GlobeOne App:
- First of all, download the GlobeOne app on your mobile.
- Once the app is downloaded, open it and create your account.
- You will get a button to register the SIM in the bottom right corner. Click on it.
- Now, enter your eight-digit TM SIM number and click on verify.
- You will receive an OTP on your number. Remember that OTP will expire in five minutes. Enter the OTP before it expires.
- After the Number verification, you will get a registration form. Complete the form carefully.
- Now select your ID type and upload a clear photo of your ID. Also, upload a selfie for verification purposes.
- Review the form carefully and ensure that all the details are accurate. Once done, submit the form.
- On the submission, you will get a reference number. Keep the reference number safe, as it is proof of registration.
Congratulations! You have successfully registered your TM SIM online.
Note: Always upload a clear and valid photo. Make sure that the photo of the holder and the signature are visible in the ID. The acceptable file size for the photo is a maximum of 4 MB. Always provide up-to-date and accurate details and documents for successful registration.
Check Registration status
Once your registration process is completed, you can check whether your SIM card is activated or not. Here is how to check the SIM card registration status using the TM registration number:
- Type “SIMREG” and send it to 8080.
- Wait a while for the response from the company.
- You will get a confirmation message that “ you’re now registered!”. If there is no response, it means that your SIM is not registered.

The requirements for Filipino citizens, Minors, corporations, and foreigners are different. The requirements details are as follows:
Filipino citizens
- Philippine Identification Card (PhilID/National ID)
- Passport
- Driver’s License
- SSS ID (Social Security System)
- GSIS ID (Government Service Insurance System)
- Voter’s ID
- PRC ID (Professional Regulation Commission)
- NBI Clearance
- Police Clearance
- IBP ID (Integrated Bar of the Philippines)
- OWWA ID (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration)
- BIR ID (Bureau of Internal Revenue)
- PhilHealth ID
- Senior Citizen ID
- UMID Card (Unified Multi-Purpose ID)
- PWD ID (Person with Disabilities Card)
- Postal ID
- Certificate of Barangay Clearance
- School ID (for students)
- Company ID (for employees)
- Other valid government-issued IDs
Note: For Minors, the SIM will be registered on the details and documents of the guardian.
For foreigners
1. Tourists
- Passport (bio page and visa page)
- Proof of address (e.g., hotel reservation or host affidavit)
- Return ticket to the home country or onward destination
Note: The SIM registered for foreigners will automatically deactivate after 30 days.
2. Residents
- Passport (bio page and visa page)
- Proof of address
- Alien Certificate of Registration Identification Card (ACRI-Card)
- Official ID from the visa-issuing authority
- Work permit (Department of Labor and Employment)
- Student ID (for students)
- Legal travel/admission document for People of Concern (POCs)
For Companies
- List of mobile numbers to be registered
- Board resolution or proof of authority designating the authorized representative
- Registered name of the company
- Official ID with photo and ID number (for the representative)
- Documents for government agencies, LGUs, SUCs, or foreign entities/embassies
- company address
- Proof of business registration (Certificate of Registration, DTI Registration, or SEC Certificate)
- Official name of the representative
- BIR registration or BIR Form 2303
- Documents for specific entity types (e.g., partnership, corporation, cooperative, foundation, association)
